Eating my entire wedding

Oooh, look everyone. A box. A box just delivered by the postman, for me! But what's inside?

Some midnight-blue tissue paper...

And....

Oh my goodness! Shoes, and a bag and a present... as biscuits!
Hold on, there's more. There's more, I tell you!

A wedding cake, wedding dress, hearts, flowers... I can't believe it! How yummy and gorgeous and fabulous! All from my lovely LOVELY publishers!
I'm going to eat my whole wedding - that's if I can fight my kids off, of course...
PS Are you impressed, btw? This if the first time I have EVER posted photos on my blog. Not that I'm technologically challenged or anything. Or a bit dim. I just find such things quite scary and tricky. But these biscuits needed to be seen before I scoff the lot, so I made a special effort!

Your publishers are very clever and wonderful! What do the biscuits taste like? They look so yummy!

Do you get to eat the box too? (it looks rather tasty too!)

Looks delicious... you sure you're not sharing? ;)

Those look almost too good to eat and what a lovely present.

Oh that's lovely! Makes me want a publisher even more :o) p.s. Well done on the photo posting!

They look yummy. Well done on posting a picture too!

Can we all come on honeymoon, too, so we can share the yummies (I mean the biscuits of course!
Well done on photo posting; I still need to work on that to get photos where I want them.

Oh wow, they are exquisite. What lovely, lovely publishers. Enjoy.

What a wonderful gift to send you, so thoughtful, and yet so tasty by the look of them.

Well done for posting the picture too.

Pacha - the biscuits are delish (haven't tried the box although it is metal sadly...don't want to break my front teeth before the big day!)

Marjolein!! Are you back from your trip? Go on, you can have a bite. ONE bite, I said!

Hello Wishful Thinking, they ARE almost too good to eat, they are so pretty, I feel a bit guilty biting into them. Not guilty enough to stop myself though...

Cheers Calistro - yes, it's worth getting a publisher just for the biscuits, I'm telling you (and everything else of course, ahem...)

Sarah *G* - Cheers! I am quite proud of that photo-posting. You wait, there'll be no stopping me now, I'll be boring you all to tears with my snaps...

Pat - oh, sorry, I doubt the biscuits will last that long!

JJ - I am enjoying, I am enjoying! (although conscious of slinky wedding dress too, don't want to wreck all gym efforts at the last...)

Thanks Debs! Very thoughtful indeed, and totally unexpected. And delicious - the perfect elements for a present, really!

Wow, how wonderful! I soooo need to find a publisher who will send pretty boxes of biscuits. But finding a publisher/agent/someone to marry me might take time. Best I stock up myself, just in case?

Yay!

Yes, I'm back from all my travels. Sorting my photos and writing part 1 in the travel blog series as I type this. :)

Oh Lucy, they are lovely, I'm not sure I would want to eat them but...What a really nice touch from your publisher.

Not long to go now...xxx

Lucy Diamond said...

Spiral - maybe you should find an agent who wants to marry you as well as get you a book deal? Then biscuits galore will be yours! Cunning, non?

Won'tLetLife - yay, hope you had a good time!

L-Plate, I do feel a bit awful crunching into them, I must confess... all the work that went into each one, all those carefully iced flowers... scoffed. Ahh well. I'll get over it!

Suffering from major buscuit envy over here, as well as novel envy. Have just finished yours between breast feeds. Mine's still in my head (during breast feeds!)

Are you sure you can't spare the smallest nibble??

Lucy Diamond said...

Go on, then, Kelly... help yourself. Breast-feeding mums need to keep their strength up! (and thanks for your nice words on the novel!)

I love how big the shoes and bag are. Mm they look delicious, but I am a very sentimental sort and might have to keep one or two...my little sister - 13 years younger than me - sent me a chocolate bear on Valentine's Day 1997...this chocolate bear has emigrated with me and is still in one piece in its little packet (though admittedly it is not looking that tasty any more!).

Lucy Diamond said...

Hi Mum's The Word, yes, I'm the same, find it hard to chuck out anything that has even a vague whiff of sentimental attachment. Mind you, biscuits are biscuits... and will-power is perilously low...

I am SO impressed. And you absolutely should eat those biscuits, that's what they're for. I trust this means we'll get to see some wedding photos?

Fiona said...

Oh, they are so beautiful. Please don't tell me you're going to dunk them in your tea. They should be preserved, although I haven't a clue how.

Well done on posting pics. More please. And I'm lying here with Any Way You Want Me, kindly delivered from Amazon as part of a huge token from my brother.

I am officially very very jealous!

They look DIVINE! And what a lovely gesture :-)

Kate said...

That's so wonderful, you lucky girl (mind you, no more than a Heatseeker like yourself deserves).

They also look like they'll last for after the wedding, too, so you can indulge along with lots of champers etc, and not worry about having a biscuit belly.

And the box would be lovely for keepsakes of the big day.

I'm all warm and fluffy just thinking about it!

Zinnia... I will try my best!

Kate - I know! I'm a lucky cow, aren't I?!

Fiona - no, no dunking, just dainty nibbling! What a kind brother you have, btw, and thanks for buying AWYWM!

Thanks Kate! I feel all warm and fluffy too...inbetween being knackered and frazzled! Must confess, with three kids in the house, I doubt the biscuits will last for much longer - I have tried fobbing them off with jam tarts, but they're not having any of it!

Love the biscuits and all the very best for this weekend! Enjoy it to the full!

Tam said...

But you have the photo to look back on so can eat the biscuits with a clear conscience and biscuits from publishers have no calories. Fact.

How cool is that??? Yum.

Nice cookies!
Hey, I was flying the other day on that Irish airline with the blue and yellow coachwork...reading the inflight mag, as you do...when all of a sudden a review of 'Over You' by Lucy Diamond leapt out at me.
'I know her!' I blurted to my husband, pointing to the page.
Well, I feel I know you...sort of.
The review was good, too. Hoorah! Best of luck with it all.

How utterly gorgeous :o) Great photo posting too.

This reminded me, I meant to order some shoe biscuits for my daughter's birthday having seen them advertised in a magazine, but I completely forgot about it! (don't tell her)
