Uh?

Oh Gawd. Went to bed last night and scribbled half a dozen GENIUS ideas for Novel 3 in my notebook (in the dark) and dropped off to sleep feeling all excited about writing such brilliant plot points into the story in the morning.

Somehow or other, though, I've managed to delete more words than I've added so far today. How has this happened??

I don't know but it's annoying isn't it! It's like your brain is punishing itself for being such a genius ;o)

Hello Vicky! Nice to have you back, hope all's well.

Calistro - lol! Perhaps not such a genius after all... In fact perhaps I am being punished for even thinking I have genius tendencies!

But it always turns out just like you wanted it to though, doesn't it. They are weird things, those minds of ours, mine won't engage until absoultely every last detail has been thought through. I often envy you not planning too much! x

Ahh but L-Plate, I envy you and all other planners who can be so organised. I feel as if I'm shambling along most of the time, constantly thinking, Hmmm, what needs to happen next?
For Novel 4, I'm going to be MUCH more organised in my plotting. Best of intentions and all that...

Oh dear. Late Night Thoughts can be quite a trial with their nonsensical meanness. I recommend sheep. Genius sheep...

Yes - and as for trying to decipher those illegible scrawls as well...!
Bring on the sheep, say I!

Hey, I'm new to your blog. Just wanted to say the deleting more words than you're writing happens to me as well! I'm currently writing two papers and starting on me thesis. I'm glad I'm not the only one this happens to.

Marjolein - it is sooo depressing, isn't it?? Good luck with the rest of your papers, hope the writing mojo returns!

Thanks! Oh and I really have to stop typing me instead of my when I'm typing fast. It happens way too often! ;)
