Shopping list of doom

On the shopping list today:

Calpol
Dettol
Dioralyte sachets
CBeebies magazine to cheer up poor infant invalid (who is being surprisingly stoic in the circumstances...)

*sigh*

Oh no! I was feeling sorry for myself because girls have coughs, and I have a nasty sore throat. But by the sounds of it, things are worse there!

Btw, not many little ones like dioraltye, and a GP I once worked with said that if all else fails, flat coke (the drink, obviously! lol) can be quite good.

Spare sheets
Washing powder
A tumble dryer

...oh, Lucy, I'm with you all the way.

Hugs come for free.

Michelle - you are right, the Dioralyte was refused. Thanks for the Coke tip though...

Leigh - you know the score. Thanks for the hugs. I need them! I am hoping we are through the worst now...

Oh dear. Poor you.
None of mine would ever take anything apart from Calpol, when they were ill, and even that was a struggle at times!

I hope things improve very soon :o)

How are things today?

Oh ouch - sounds like you're the stoical one! Hope things are looking up.

Oh poor you, poor little one. I hate it when they're ill. I do hope all is well soon.

Karen - thank Gawd for Calpol eh? Bless that healing pinkness!

Hi Michelle, I think things are on the up - no puking all day (apologies to anyone reading this while eating)... I think we're out of the woods!

Thanks Debi, she is normally a real fireball, so for her to be all quiet and stoic means she REALLY feels bad. Sadly stoicism isn't one of my qualities though - even when ill!

Hi Debs, and thanks for your nice words. It's so horrid when they're all listless and poorly. But we had a smile this afternoon and she has kept down a few breadsticks so far today...hopefully she will back to her old loud self soon!

Oh, yes! Flat coke is fantastic for nausea, particularly hangover-induced nausea (I'm told). Fizzy coke works too, although it tends to buzz things up a bit!!

Hope the bowl's back under the sink by now.
